Mindfulness & Reflective Practise

Flourishing Minds – Mindfulness Practice for the Workplace

Our mindfulness program, developed based on the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness based Stress Reduction Programme, are adapted for practical application in the workplace.  They are focused on building concentration, boosting productivity, reducing stress and supporting healthy minds. Flourishing Minds is delivered over 8 weekly, 90-minute sessions in groups of 6-12 persons.

Conscious Minds – Reflective Practices for the Workplace

Reflective practice in simple terms is the practice of periodically stepping back to ponder the meaning of what has recently transpired to ourselves and to others in our immediate environment. It illuminates what the self and others have experienced, providing a basis for future action.

Thinking about what has happened is part of being human. However, the difference between casual ‘thinking’ and ‘reflective practice’ is that reflective practice requires a conscious effort to think about events, and develop insights into them.

The good news is that reflective practice is a skill that can be learned.  Conscious Minds is a program to help managers develop the critical, constructive and creative thinking that is necessary for reflective practice. In addition, it’s not just the thinking that’s important. One also has to develop the capacity to explore ideas with others.

Our Conscious Mind program creates the platform for shared reflective practice in a busy workplace. Reflective practice has shown benefits in increasing self-awareness and in developing a better understanding of others, essential foundations for building emotional quotient and inspiring high-performing leaders.

Boss Whispering

Boss Whispering® is a specialised coaching intervention designed to turnaround valuable, task-oriented senior executives/professionals who may be perceived as being abrasive.

Boss Whispering® is a coaching method designed specifically for abrasive leaders, who are generally unaware of, or tend to minimize the impact of their behavior. Based on extensive research with over 400 abrasive executives, managers, supervisors and professionals (including medical, legal, and academic), this approach, developed by Dr Laura Crawshaw founder of the Boss Whispering Institute, helps individuals quickly gain insight into the impact of their words and actions and develop non-destructive management strategies.

Our specially trained boss whisperer will work with these individuals to face their behavioral challenges and gain new competencies to balance their high performance with emotionally intelligent conduct, whilst recreating a sense of focus, productivity, and vibrancy in the people around them and their organization.

This highly confidential process involves an initial onsite assessment followed by regular in-person or telephone coaching sessions. Boss Whispering® usually lasts 8-10 sessions, and demonstrable results should be evident by the third coaching session.

In addition to the specialised coaching programme, we conduct one-day seminars on Managing Abrasive Behaviours in the Workplace. These seminars are targeted to help Human Resource Professionals learn more about abrasive leaders and how to motivate upper management and their organisations to intervene.
